Quick start: wallet, network and your first deal
What to do once before creating a guarantor deal - install a wallet, fund it, pick a network and agree the details with the other side.
Coin-Trust works without sign-up, login or password. Your "account" is a crypto wallet: it signs your actions, and the money sits not with us but in a smart contract. Below is everything you prepare once.
Step 1
Install a wallet
A wallet is an app or browser extension that stores your keys. Any popular one will do: MetaMask, Rabby, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow and others. On a phone an app is more convenient, on a computer a browser extension.
When you create a wallet it shows a secret phrase of 12 or 24 words (the seed phrase). It is the only way to restore access.
Step 2
Fund the wallet
For a deal you need two things:
- The deal money - a stablecoin (USDT, USDC, DAI) or the network's main coin (ETH, POL, BNB). How much is for you and the other side to agree.
- A little of the network's main coin for fees. Every blockchain signature costs "gas" - the network fee, which goes to validators, not to us. On Ethereum and Base it is paid in ETH, on Polygon in POL, on BNB Chain in BNB.
Step 3
Choose a network
The service runs on four networks: Ethereum, Base, Polygon and BNB Chain. The contract is the same on all of them, but each network is a separate world: a deal created on Base exists only on Base.
So both sides must agree on the network in advance. How to choose:
- Base, Polygon, BNB Chain - fees are cents, suitable for deals of any size.
- Ethereum - the most established network, with noticeably higher fees. Reasonable for large amounts where a few dollars of fee are insignificant.
Step 4
Connect your wallet
Press "Connect wallet" in the top right corner. If you have the extension, choose it. If your wallet is on a phone, choose WalletConnect: a QR code appears that you scan with the wallet app.
The service asks for just one thing: to see your address. It gets no access to your money. Every action that changes something must be confirmed with a signature in your wallet - read what exactly you are signing.
After connecting, check the network next to the wallet button. If you need another one, pick it from the list and the wallet will offer to switch.
Step 5
Agree the details with the other side
Before creating a deal decide together:
- What exactly is being delivered and in what form - the more precise the better.
- Amount and currency, and the network.
- Duration: 1, 7, 30 or 90 days - the clock starts when the other side accepts the deal.
- The guarantor - a person or company both sides trust - and their rates.
- The terms in writing - they can be fixed in the deal as a fingerprint.
Step 6
Create the deal and send the link
Press "Create a deal" and go through four steps: role, terms, guarantor, review. On the last step you see the full split of the money - how much goes to fees, how much the seller gets, and what happens in a dispute.
After creating, the system shows the deal number and a link. Send it to the other side - without the link they will not know about the offer. The link carries the deal number and the network, so it opens exactly where it should.

Create your first deal in a couple of minutes. The money is locked in a smart contract and paid out by rules you can see in advance.
